The DB Museum is only a few minutes' walk from the west exit of Nuremberg Main Station. Deutsche Bahn travel information

On the motorway, follow the signs for Centrum (city centre) or Hauptbahnhof (main station).Once on the ring road around the historic centre, look for Frauentorgraben and then Lessingstrasse. Arrive by car (Google Maps)

There are four disabled parking bays directly outside the museum. There is level access to the foyer via the inner courtyard of the museum (rear entrance). All sections of the museum are accessible via ramps and lifts. Two wheelchairs are available for visitors with mobility difficulties, and there are folding chairs to help guests enjoy the exhibition areas. Our staff will be happy to assist you. Disabled toilets are located on the ground floor.

The DB Museum in Nuremberg is open on the following public holidays: Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Corpus Christi, 3 October, 1 November and 26 December. The DB Museum is closed on 1 and 6 January, Good Friday, 1 May, 24, 25 and 31 December. The outdoor area is closed during the winter months (1 November to 31 March) except for special events.

The display depot is currently closed to visitors.

Filming and photography for private use is permitted (no flash photography). Tripods may be used, provided you do not disturb or obstruct other visitors to the museum. Professional and commercial photography and filming of any kind is only permitted by prior arrangement and with written approval. Please contact us in good time and note that additional charges may apply.

Personal inspection of the archival holdings is possible Tuesday through Friday between 9 and 12:30 o'clock and between 13:30 and 16 o'clock by appointment.

We kindly ask you to inform us before your visit about which materials you wish to use. They will be provided by the beginning of your visit. Further material can be retrieved within lunchtime.

DB/VGN ticket (travel ticket stamped on the date the holder visits the DB Museum or a network card belonging to the holder and valid on the date of the visit), Bahn Card 25 (Bahn Card 50: EUR – 4), groups of 10 or more (per person), senior citizens, students, disabled persons, employees of DB, BSW, Deutsche Post and Deutsche Telekom, RocoClub members, Märklin Club members (must show membership ID) and DGPT members.

Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

We accept payment by debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard) – minimum spend EUR 10.

Admission to the special exhibitions and to the Museum for Communication Nuremberg is included in the ticket price.

These tickets are only available for the DB Museum in Nuremberg and are not accepted elsewhere. However, they are also valid for admission to the Museum for Communication Nuremberg.
