Re-Open Notice

The DB Museum exhibitions in Nuremberg on the 2nd floor (Kinder-Bahnland KIBALA, Auf Zeitreise mit Opa Adler and Entkoppelt) and our outdoor area (Vehicle Hall II and outdoor area) must remain closed until further notice. We ask for your understanding.

The museums in Halle (Saale) and Koblenz will remain closed until further notice.

Dear visitors,

we are pleased to welcome you again in our house.
However, due to the Corona pandemic, we ask you to observe the following conditions:                    
                                                 

  • If you feel ill, have had contact with people suffering from corona disease or have been to a risk area during the last two weeks, access to the museum is prohibited. 
  • We ask all visitors older than 6 years to wear a nose and mouth cover.
                                 
  • The maximum number of people allowed in the museum is limited. If we are currently unable to grant admission, we would ask you to be patient.
                                 
  • Please show your admission ticket at the porter`s office without being asked.
                                 
  • Please observe the minimum distance to other persons (1.5 metres) and avoid group formations.
                                
  • Observe the guidance systems and signs in the museum.
                                 
  • Visitors with physical disabilities: Please speak to our staff.
                            
  • The instructions of the supervisory staff must be followed at all times. 


All exhibition elements that can be touched (drawers, touch screens, buttons, headphones, games, flaps) will be cleaned regularly or are temporarily immobilized. The use is at your own responsibility. We ask you to clean or disinfect your hands regularly. If possible, please also use the touch pen (input pen) handed out at the information desk to operate buttons and screens.



Modellarium:To maintain the minimum distance required by law, a maximum of 10 persons may stay in the model railway demonstration room at the same time. Please take a card before entering the room and put it back after leaving. If no card is available, the demonstration room is currently occupied. In this case we kindly ask you to be patient. 

Shop:
In the museum shop, every person over 6 years of age is obliged to wear a nose-mouth cover. In order to maintain the minimum distance required by law, a maximum of four persons may be present in the shop at the same time. Please take a card before entering the shop and put it back after leaving. If no card is available, the shop is currently occupied. In this case we kindly ask you to be patient. 


Senior Citizens‘ Day


Dear visitors,
please note:
On the last Wednesday of the month, the DB Museum and
the Museum of Communication open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
exclusively for people aged 60 and older.
