von ZERO an - The art collection of the DB Stiftung

The companion volume to the "von ZERO an" exhibition, which is being exhibited by the DB Museum from 8th May to 17th July at the AEG plant in Nuremberg, in collaboration with the DB Stiftung.

The former Stinnes art collection, which came into the possession of Deutsche Bahn in 2003 following the sale of Stinnes AG, comprises around 300 works of art – predominantly paintings – from the second half of the 20th century. The majority of the works were created in the 1960s and 1970s, and they document and reflect on the specific historical situation of the post-war period in the Federal Republic of Germany in a special and diversified way. The instructive collection overview focuses on the ZERO artists Otto Piene, Heinz Mack and Günther Uecker, their environment and their successors.
